Hooray for amazing 35th birthdays.
Fayez flew down for a surprise visit. He then went on to surprise me with a birthday dinner with friends, and an afternoon with my sister and brother-in-law. He even watched Dan in Real Life and laughed at all the parts I laugh at. I got a hand made card and a beautiful present. Jane sang, “happy birthday to my Mommy, happy birthday to you” and pretty much made my heart explode. Then she made us read Miss Nelson is Missing to her over a dozen times in the span of a few hours. Fayez does an excellent Viola Swamp voice.
Happy birthday to me indeed.
So now it’s over.
There were tears at the airport.
Real life commences.
But I’m so grateful and happy to start another year on this earth.
My heart is full to overflowing.
